Coming from Square Enix, it's easy for fans of both Kingdom Hearts 3 and Nier: Automata to hope for a chance that Yoko Taro's beloved action-RPG might one day make it into the Kingdom Hearts series. While it might still be a longshot chance from happening, we can at least imagine what might happen if the two series were to meet thanks to a lovingly-crafted piece of fan art.Coming from Alpha Gamboa, a concept artist, illustrator, and animator that previously worked on Skullgirls and at Disney Interactive, we now can see what might happen if Nier: Automata were to enter the world of Kingdom Hearts and have its own world. In a piece shared by Gamboa on Twitter, he imagined what a Nier Automata world in Kingdom Hearts might look like in a piece of concept art that depicts Sora with 2B and a wounded 9S in front of Nier: Automata's iconic amusement park scene. Aside from the concept art, Gamboa's art even includes his own rendition of a Kingdom Hearts-style combat menu modeled after Nier: Automata. While obviously this art was made purely as a piece of fan art, it's not too hard to imagine how well a Nier: Automata-themed world may look and feel inside the world of Kingdom Hearts. As the series has been no stranger to including characters from other Square properties such as Final Fantasy and The World Ends With You, we can only hope that 2B, 9S, and the rest of the cast from Nier: Automata might one day make their way into a future Kingdom Hearts title down the line.Kingdom Hearts 3 is available now on PS4 and Xbox One, while Nier: Automata is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, with the upcoming Game of the YoRHa Edition set to arrive later this month. For a closer look at what Nier: Automata might look like in the world of Kingdom Hearts, you can check out the art from Alpha Gamboa below:
