Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMix Confirmed for North America

February 25, 2013

Kingdom Hearts fans have something to be excite about since Square Enix has confirmed that Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMix will be making its way to the PlayStation 3 this fall. This is great news since the title was only confirmed for release in Japan.

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMix brings together both Kingdom Hearts Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories in a single package with remastered HD visuals. Also included on the disc are HD remastered cinematic scenes from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days that catches players up on the story of the game. Gameplay mechanics have also been enhanced for this release as well as the inclusion of Trophies.

For those that are unfamiliar with the franchise, Kingdom Hearts is a tale about a boy named Sora on an island that wants to see the outside world and makes a raft with his friends. After some events happen on his island, he gets separated from his friends and ends up traveling to various worlds based on Disney movies. The game combines the story telling of Final Fantasy with the characters and worlds of Disney. Many characters from various Final Fantasy games make guest appearances in each of the titles in the franchise.

This is a great chance for fans of the franchise to catch up on the two titles that started the franchise and learn more about the events going on between Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 2.
