Tetsuya Nomura just left the direction of Final Fantasy XV to Hajime Tabata in order to dedicate himself to Kingdom Hearts III, but that’s not all he’s working on. Turns on that he’s tinkering¬†with other unannounced projects, some of which are gaming related and some beyond gaming, as he explained in an interview on the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu, translated by¬†

There are various projects besides KH3, but for some reason right now I am getting a lot of offers from both in and outside of the company, so the first thing to do is to respond to them. There are personal undertakings as well as game related jobs, things outside of games, and several unannounced things. Most recently, I am going to New York Comic Con in October. I hope to make progress on my own projects while being able to do those kind of jobs.

Nomura-san did not give any specific details on what kind of projects he’s working on, and on what offers he’s receiving, even if a developer of his caliber is probably quite sought upon. Maybe we’ll hear something more at Comic-con, and hopefully it won’t be about another Batman statue.
