Two new videos from Square Enix show off the keyblades that come with pre-orders for Kingdom Hearts III on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Both keyblades are identical save for their coloring and effects: a blue for PlayStation 4 and green for Xbox One, fitting both console's primary color identifiers. Both keyblades will add effects to gameplay as well.

Midnight Blue keyblade for PlayStation 4 pre-orders will increase Blizzard magic attacks and make Blizzagan a situation command. Meanwhile Xbox One pre-orders get the Phantom Green version which increases Thunder magic attacks and adds the Thundagan situation command.

Situation commands are a bit like the reaction commands in Kingdom Hearts II that only appeared during unique moments in battle and allow you to perform special actions. These situation command options first appeared in Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth By Sleep -A Fragmentary Passage where Aqua could use them as follow up attacks to magic spells to do additional damage or add status effects. These will most likely carry over into Kingdom Hearts III.

Rounding out the two console pre-order bonuses is Amazon's previously announced Dawn Till Dusk keyblade which will increase Fire magic attacks and adds Firagan as a situation command. This completes the trio of starter magic: fire, blizzard, and thunder, that are the first usable magic attacks in each Kingdom Hearts game.

Other keyblades have been rounded up based on information we have about the game so far from trailers and the like, with the Kingdom Key returning as always alongside special keyblades for each Disney world you'll be visiting. Whether or not the Oathkeeper and Oblivion will return (Roxas' signature keyblades) remains to be seen. Meanwhile for those who want to listen to Utada Hikaru & Skrillex's Face my Fears theme you can now do so prior to the game's release. For those of you who will be playing the game non-stop after launch please let me know how it ends, I really don't want to play through all those Disney movies just to learn whether or not Xion is brought back.

The wait is nearly over as we are now less than two weeks away from Kingdom Hearts III's release on January 25, 2019 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. You can pre-order it from Amazon by clicking here. You can view each of the pre-order keyblades in-action in the short trailers below.
