Kingdom Hearts III Re:Mind Gets A New Trailer But No Release Date

The new Kingdom Hearts III DLC shows off new cutscenes and boss battles.

Today ahead ofTokyo Game Show Square Enix released a new trailer for the upcoming Kingdom Hearts III DLC Re:Mind. It was back in June where we first learned about the new content confirming that players will be able to play as Riku, Aqua, and Roxas during the Organization XIII battles during the final act of the game. We also know there will be new cutscenes and some of them will focus on members of the Organization.

The new trailer features another batch of cutscenes, but this time it focuses on the heroes as well. Previously shown in the first trailer, Sora is wielding the Oathkeeper keyblade which is not a part of the base game. While wielding it, it seems that he transforms into a new form that is unique to the keyblade. Additionally, it looks as though there will be new boss fights as it shows Sora fighting Xigbar in a new location. Let’s hope we get something similar to data battles like in Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix.

With Kingdom Hearts being my favorite franchise of all time I am looking forward to the new additions that will be made. Critical Mode has already been added which is welcoming. While I did have my personal problems with the newest entry, it looks that some holes are being filled as well as more set up for the future and that’s exciting to me.

Unfortunately, there is still no release date for Re:Mind outside of coming sometime this Winter for PS4 and Xbox One. If you have yet to get your hands on Kingdom Hearts III you can purchase it on Amazon.
