The Kingdom Hearts series rarely had any trouble securing voice talent from classic Disney animated movies, and Square Enix is continuing their track record with the star-studded voice cast of Kingdom Hearts III. The company announced today several names in the cast, including stars from modern Disney films including Tangled, Frozen, and Pixar's Toy Story.

And these aren't just bit players: Frozen's Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Josh Gad, and Jonathan Groff are all present reprising their famous roles from the popular 2013 film. While the Kingdom Hearts III cast appears to lack Mandy Moore from Tangled, her co-stars Zachary Levi and Donna Murphy represent the film just fine.

Of course, don't expect the likes of Tom Hanks and Tim Allen to make time on their schedules to play Woody and Buzz Lightyear, respectively. Still, the voices of Wallace Shawn as Rex and Pixar stalwart John Ratzenberger as Hamm should be familiar enough for Toy Story fans.

It's an understatement to say that Kingdom Hearts III has been a long time coming, and Square Enix isn't pulling any punches in the press lead-up to the PS4 and Xbox One game's release on January 29, 2019. Square showed off a ton of new footage during Tokyo Game Show 2018, including a spoiler-y boss fight between two significant characters in the series.

  • Tony Anselmo as Donald Duck

  • Bill Farmer as Goofy

Haley Joel Osment (The Sixth Sense, A.I.) will reprise his role in KINGDOM HEARTS as Sora, the pure-hearted protagonist. Many more talented actors will also be lending their voices to KINGDOM HEARTS III, making it the most star-studded game of the franchise yet.
