Earlier this week we received a new trailer featuring everything we can expect from the Kingdom Hearts franchise this year including a brand new game Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory, a rhythm-based action title. Alongside that announcement, we got a new look at the upcoming chapter of Kingdom Hearts: Union X and Kingdom Hearts: Dark Road. It was also confirmed that we will be getting a release of the Kingdom Hearts III soundtrack later this fall with more details to come, but now we have even more details due to the release of the English version of the trailer.

Kingdom Hearts: Union X will be releasing its final story chapter later this year which along with Square Enix announcing the release date of Kingdom Hearts: Dark Road being this coming Monday on June 22nd in the United States which was only confirmed for Japan originally. From what we already know, Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory is said to feature over 140 songs across the Kingdom Hearts franchise as well as four different playable modes including online multiplayer. It also appears that the main story will be following Kairi after the events of Kingdom Hearts III, which is interesting considering the art style in her cutscenes are the same as Kingdom Hearts III while the game itself is completely different. Originally it felt like a tease we were going to get more DLC, but that seemingly isn't the case.

Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory is set to release later this year on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch. You can download Kingdom Hearts: Union X (which will include Dark Road upon release) for free on iOS, Android, and Amazon.
