Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory is the latest Kingdom Hearts game, freshly announced by Square Enix and Tetsuya Nomura. Today, we've got some new gameplay screenshots. They're all included further below.

In case you haven't heard about it yet, here's a quick refresher on what this game is.

Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory is a rhythm action game where we control Sora and other characters running on lanes. Each character corresponds to a certain lane, and players need to hit the right button at the right time to hit enemies coming through. It looks pretty simple. There will be over 140 songs, including Disney songs. Moreover, Kingdom Hearts MoM will include online multiplayer.

Plot-wise, it's pretty vague so far, and the only thing we know is how we'll collect "Rhythm" by going inside Worlds recreated by the melody of memories. It'll also have something to do with Kairi. You can read the full details with our past coverage, where we translated the game's Japanese story pitch.

Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory is the very first Kingdom Hearts game coming to Nintendo Switch. It'll launch on Switch, PS4, and Xbox One. The game is planned for a worldwide 2020 release.

Tetsuya Nomura teased more Kingdom Hearts project to come.

KH Dark Road is also releasing next week, June 22. At least in Japan. The English Twitter hasn't said anything yet.
