Nintendo essentially out of nowhere dropped a new Nintendo Direct Mini this morning, and the stream contained some new information on Square Enix's upcoming rhythm title Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory.

The latest entry in the Kingdom Hearts franchise opened Nintendo's newest Direct today and highlighted some new gameplay footage from the title. Melody of Memory will allow players to revisit iconic scenes from the franchise's history in new ways and will also contain a handful of boss battles. In addition, new story content centered around the character Kairi will also be present in MoM.

Most notably, however, a release date for Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory was disclosed at the end of the game's presentation, and its arrival isn't too far out. The game is set to arrive later this fall for Switch, PS4, and Xbox One on November 13. This is actually the same release date for the title that previously leaked earlier this month, verifying what we had heard before.

Lastly, it's also worth mentioning that Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory has also become available for pre-purchase today. The game retails for the typical fare of $59.99, which seems a bit steep in my own estimation. I guess I'll just hope that the final product is more substantial and enjoyable to play than the initial gameplay seems to be.

Stay tuned for more of Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory from us here at DualShockers in the near future.
