With the release of Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory worldwide on November 13, Tetsuya Nomura shared a message about the power of music and memories for the fans of the series.

Kingdom Hearts Series Director and Character Designer Tetsuya Nomura mentioned he believes music and memories are closely linked together. As such, fans’ memories of the Kingdom Hearts series are closely tied with certain music tracks as well. Melody of Memory was created to celebrate that. This is cheesy as hell but perhaps what everyone needs to brighten their day.

You can find the full message below:

“I believe music and memories are closely tied together, and looking back on various moments in the Kingdom Hearts series, I’m sure many of your favorite memories are tied to its music. We created Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory to celebrate those moments. I hope that as you play Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory, you are able to fondly recall your favorite moments and music from the series, and the powerful memories behind them!”

Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory was first released in Japan on November 11. On November 13, the game launched worldwide on PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and by extension PS5 and Xbox Series X.
