March 17, 2018

Yesterday, Nintendo Switch released a launch trailer of Kirby Star Allies that highlights some of the new abilities Kirby has in the game including new copy abilities and Friend Abilities.

The nearly six minute-long trailer, which you can check out below, shows off the new abilities players can use such as throwing Friend Hearts at enemies and effectively turn them into allies.  After gaining up to four friends, Kirby can work together with followers to defeat enemies.  He can also combine copied abilities with Friend Abilities to create a ton of combinations such as creating a Sizzle Sword out of the abilities Fire and Sword.

In addition to Friend Hearts, Kirby can still inhale enemies and absorb their powers. The trailer highlights some of the new copy abilities in addition to classic ones available as well, such as the Spider ability where players can bind enemies to use as weapons.  The trailer boasts the most copy abilities available ever in the series.

Players can play solo or multiplayer in story mode or mini-games.  Up to four players can play with Joy-Con controllers.

You can check out the video below. If you want to see more, you can also enjoy two more recent trailers and some gameplay.
