Known for his voracious appetite and ability to copy anyone's power--as well as being confirmed as the greatest character of all time by Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's World of Light campaign--Kirby is certainly one of the cutest characters in Nintendo's roster of characters, and even cuter when he's made out of yarn. Thankfully, you'll get to experience all that and more in the upcoming Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn on 3DS when it arrives in just about two months.Nintendo has officially announced that Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn will release for Nintendo 3DS on March 8, 2019, after previously announcing last fall that the title would arrive sometime in early 2019.For those unfamiliar with the original title, Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn is a new release of the Wii title Kirby's Epic Yarn for a new generation of players. While the new title will carry over the original experience from the Wii version, Extra Epix Yarn will also include some new features for players to enjoy, such as new abilities for Kirby to utilize and giving players the chance to play as either King Dedede or Meta Knight. We liked Kirby's Epic Yarn quite a bit back when it first released on Nintendo Wii, and given that Extra Epic Yarn will add plenty of new features for veteran players to enjoy and allow new players the chance to try out the title, it will surely be among one of the more notable titles coming to the 3DS in 2019.Aside from Extra Epic Yarn, we last saw Kirby's previous solo outing in Kirby Star Allies which released last spring on Nintendo Switch. While Epic Yarn has a few differences compared to what we saw in Star Allies, anyone that played Star Allies should still find something to enjoy from the upcoming 3DS release, especially when it comes to the game's adorable visual style.Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn will release for Nintendo 3DS on March 8, 2019. The game is currently available for pre-order on Amazon.Â
