Klei has announced that Don’t Starve Together will be leaving Steam Early Access and appear on the official storefront on April 21, 2016.
This has been the longest development cycle Klei has spent in Early Access. Another free DLC add-on, Through The Ages, was also mentioned, having previously scheduled to launch in Spring 2015. Due to it not reaching Klei’s quality standards has been held back.
Don’t Starve Together won’t be compatible with Shipwrecked, as it was not build with the sailing add-on in mind. Klei also gave a statement on the PlayStation 4 version, which you can read below.
What about PS4?
It’s in the works! Console development often takes longer than one would hope, but the good news is that we’ve been continually merging in the changes from PC, and the game is coming along well. We’ll update you the moment we have more info.
