Fans of the massive amount of IP that THQ Nordic holds were probably happy to see a new Comanche announced yesterday, but that is not the only franchise the publisher plans on bringing back soon. During Gamescom today, Black Sea Games and THQ Nordic confirmed that they will be reviving the Knights of Honor grand strategy game series, which began in 2004, with a new game titled Knights of Honor II: Sovereign. Its announcement trailer is purely cinematic, but you can watch it below:

Knights of Honor II: Sovereign is following in the footsteps of the original as a deep but accessible grand strategy game that sees players managing their royal court and conquering the lands around them via real time strategy combat. The game will feature multiplayer as well, so there's no need to worry about a lack of things to do. With games like Knights of Honor II: Sovereign, Humankind, and The Settlers taking center stage at Gamescom, it is clear that 2020 will be a good year for strategy game fans.

Some screenshots of the game are available through its Steam page, so you can check out those below. Knights of Honor II: Sovereign will release for PC sometime in 2020, just like Comanche.
