PlayStation owners that are into smaller independent games will want to keep an eye out for today’s store update when Knytt Underground hits PSN.

Knytt Underground is a platform game that focuses on explorations while taking place hundreds of years in a future devoid of humans and featuring other lifeforms such as sprites and fairies. The game puts players in the shoes of a sprite known as Mi Sprocket that must complete a ritual that will save the world.

Players will be able to move in a standard way of most platformers or turn into a fast bouncing ball. These abilities can also be combined with temporary objects such as a grappling hook to allow various combinations to move along in the world.

The game will hit PSN for $14.99 and includes both PS3 and PS Vita version. A trailer for the game has also been released and can be viewed below.
