Koei Tecmo Celebrates the 15th Anniversary of the Dynasty Warriors Series with a Special Video

on August 3, 2015 12:54 PM

Today marks the 15th anniversary of the celebrated hack and slash series Dynasty Warriors. Dynasty Warriors 2 launched for the PS2 on August 3rd in Japan in 2000.

It’s important to note that the Dynasty Warriors moniker was actually first used for the 1997 PlayStation exclusive fighting game (and thus the series itself is older than 15), but this anniversary commemorates that 15 years have passed since the proper Dynasty Warriors action series debuted. Publisher Koei Tecmo has today released a special commemorative video, showing game-play and lovely CG movies from several of the titles in the series’ history, which includes titles for platforms such as the PS2, Xbox 360, Nintendo 3DS and several more.

Take a stroll down memory lane below.
