Kojima Productions Seeks New Talent

on February 25, 2012 3:05 PM

Kojima Productions will be opening a booth at next month’s Game Developer’s Conference in San Francisco, and they posted an ad on their website inviting “skillful engineers, artists, and game creators” to come and see if they’ve got what it takes to make the team.

While this might not be a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory scenario where fans get to tour Kojima Productions’ studio alongside the eccentric, chain smoking creator of Big Boss, it is potentially a huge opportunity for those with the requisite skills.

Kojima Productions is specifically seeking “project engineers for the latest Metal Gear Solid targeted for high-end consoles and PC, engineers to help develop next-gen game engine technology for use with the ‘FOX Engine,’ [and a new] Kojima Productions Brand Manager.”

New recruits would be based either at the developer’s headquarters in Tokyo, or in the new studio they plan to build in California. If you think you can make the cut, check out their webpage for more info.

Sto Austin is the man. Period. When not saving the world from the next generation of Metal Gears or throwing hadoukens at his detractors, chances are he's writing about someone else doing something similarly epic, possibly whilst smoking a cigar. He enjoys games with a strong emphasis on story, which typically fall into the RPG, Action/Adventure, or Horror genres, though he also has a soft spot for fighting games and has been known, when feeling saucy, to shred on some Guitar Hero or Rock Band. He currently divides his time between Florida and Maine, tromping up and down the East coast according to the whims of fate and fortune.
