After publishing the new gameplay video of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Director Hideo Kojima talked about what he'd like to show in the future, and what would have liked to show in today's demo as well.

"How was it? Now you can now envision the technology and new concept behind the open world "free infiltration game." I also wanted to record the "attack in the middle of the night" and the "tank rush," but I couldn't because there would be no end to it. Please everyone, experiment on your own when the game goes for sale."

"Decide style, transport means, time, weather, weapons, equipment, go with a buddy or enjoy the infiltration on your own.  Playing the mission OPS freely within the vast map, Mother base will grow as you recover vehicles, resources and personnel."

"If I don't run out of energy, next, i think we can showcase the demo of the gameplay in development of the expansion and growth of Mother Base (MB). I don't know when it will be."

Personally, the Mother Base is one of the mechanics in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain that I find most interesting. Hopefully Kojima-san and Konami will give us a demonstration of its features soon.

In the meanwhile, if you're waiting for the English version of the demo showcased today, Producer Ken-Ichiro Imaizumi mentioned that it's coming later tonight in Europe and Tomorrow in the US:
