The original release date of season 2 episode 2 of the series was April 14th, 2022, and the episode will get released internationally on Wednesday, May 4th, 2022, on Netflix. As there are various sub-parts of each episode of Komi Can't Communicate, the titles for different sub-parts will be Typhoon, Fantasies, Cat Cafe, and The Love Game.
Komi Can't Communicate Season 2 Episode 1 Recap
Shouko Komi arrives at school, and Najimi touches her cheeks with her cold hands. Komi does the same with Tadano and startles him. Due to her introverted nature, Komi is only able to make twelve friends in six months. Najimi steps up to help Komi and hands her a notebook, telling her to write the names of all the friends she makes. She nervously hands over the notebook to Tadano to write his name first. After that, Komi takes the notebook to several other students and tells them to write their names.
Makoto Katai arrives at school, and everyone feels uneasy, given his formidable appearance. But it turns out that Makoto himself is anxious to enter his class, as he is joining the school quite late. Everyone starts to gaze at Makato, which makes him even more anxious. When Najimi appears in the class, Makoto drags them out to tell them to keep his past a secret. Makoto's behavior toward Najimi scares the classmates even more.

Tadano steps up and starts a conversation with Makoto, and offers him to show around the school, which makes them good friends. After school is over, Yamai, Najimi, Tadano, and Komi visit Nakanaka's house to study. But it turns out to be the battle between Yamai and Nakanaka to make Komi a better friend than the other.
The next day, while giving an exam, Komi drops one of her pencils on the floor and breaks the lead of the other one. As usual, she feels shy to ask her teacher to pick up the pencil. Tadano notices Komi's uneasiness, after which he throws his own pencil on the ground and asks the teacher to pick it up. Komi, in turn, notices that Tadano forgot to bring his eraser. She breaks her eraser in half and drops it on the floor, and both of them blush at the incident.
