Konami Brings Video Games to Phys Ed!

Konami announced today a partnership with the National Association for Sport and Physical Education. Through this partnership the quality of physical education will be dramatically improved. Read on for more details.

Titles from the DanceDanceRevolution (a.k.a. DDR) series as well as Konami’s latest fitness-based title Walk It Out!. Research has proven that playing these games will help kids and adults of all ages healthy in terms of weight as well as muscle health and beyond. The new partnership with the National Association for Sport and Physical Education will bring this experience to more students than ever.

West Virgina has already brought DanceDanceRevolution into its health and physical education programs across all of the state’s 765 K-12 public schools and will be hosting a statewide DanceDanceRevolution Championship Competition! The president of Konami Digital Entertainment Inc., Shinji Hirano points to the entertainment aspects in DDR and Walk It Out!, stating that they are a fun way to develop healthy habits and enhance their lifestyle.
