Though the development of the title has seen various complications due to series creator Hideo Kojima leaving Konami, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is still among this year’s most highly-anticipated titles, and those lucky enough to be attending next month’s Gamescom will be able to see it up-close and personal.
Publisher Konami revealed its plans for the upcoming Gamescom 2015, set to take place next month in Cologne, Germany, and confirmed today that both Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and PES 2016 will be making an appearance during Gamescom this year.
In more appealing news, both titles will be available to play at the event, and marking their first outings where both The Phantom Pain and PES 2016 were available for the public to play. While both titles were demoed at this year’s E3 2015, both were shown in a hands-off capacity, as Konami general manager Martin Schneider explained:
“Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain and PES 2016 will be available for the public to play for the first time at this year’s gamescom; and that’s the kind of line-up that packs a punch.”
“Konami is going to present two stunning games for the current console generation at the most important consumer exhibition in the world, and further showcases Konami’s commitment to bringing AAA-titles to the consumer.”
Gamescom 2015 will take place from August 5th – 9th, 2015 in Cologne, Germany.
