Konami Releases a Beyond the Labyrinth Trailer, Looks All Cute and Stuff

August 27, 2011

Beyond the Labyrinth in a 3DS RPG being developed by Star Ocean studio tri-Ace. It’s being published by Konami in Japan, and looks to be a pretty cool RPG for Nintendo’s unsteady system. The style of the game has been compared to Ico, possibly one of the greatest games to ever grace any console, so that’s high praise, right? If you want to get past the Japanese text in the video, you’ll have to jump to 0:25 or so, at which point you’ll be treated to shots of the white-haired girl we’ve seen before. She is the character the game revolves around, although it isn’t quite clear if she’s the main character or not.

Hit the break to check out the short trailer, and keep your fingers crossed that interesting titles like this make their way to the West somehow.
