KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World! Fantastic Days pre-registration date, trailer

Releasing on iOS and Android, KonoSuba Fantastic Days, a.k.a. KonoFan had its localization announced in late 2020 by Nexon, with a 2021 release planned.

Nexon announced on the panel pre-registration for the global version of KonoSuba Fantastic Days will start on July 6. We’ll be updating our story on that day with the pre-registration link so stay tuned. A special trailer was also shared for the occasion:

KonoSuba Fantastic Days inherits the anime series’ DNA

With the usual antics of Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness, KonoSuba Fantastic Days aims to be as close as possible to the anime. The character collection RPG features brand new artwork and an UI made in the anime’s style, and even the sound effects are identical.

KonoFan is fully voiced in Japanese, with all the seiyuu from the anime reprising their roles. The game also uses animated portraits made with Live 2D, which you should be familiar with if you follow VTubers. Furthermore, brand-new original characters made for the game are also playable. Players will be able to enjoy reliving through their favorite moments of the KonoSuba anime, or go through a new original story tailor-made for the game.

Turn-based + Real Time Battle system

As for the battle system, similarly to how KonoSuba is a parody of Isekai series, subverting anime fans’ expectations, Fantastic Days uses a peculiar mix of turn-based and real time, subverting players’ expectations. Most notably, each character has gorgeous animated cut-ins when using their skills.

  • KONOSUBA – What’s the latest game released in Japan?

Overall, KonoSuba Fantastic Days is definitely a promising gacha. Last but not least, the game is also getting localized in several languages besides English, so many fans will be able to try it out. I’m definitely looking forward to it as a KonoSuba fan (and a Yunyun stan).
