This past weekend has been another rollercoaster ride for fighting game fans. Not only did Smash Conference United see Super Smash Bros. Ultimate players engaging in the game's first major tournament and playing under an official rule set, but Kumite in Tennessee also saw players competing in a wide range of popular fighting games. To top it all off, news broke of a new stop in Kumite's ongoing series. This time, it's hitting Texas.

Revealed via Twitter at the tail end of this weekend's event, Kumite in Texas will be kicking off in Arlington, TX. The event will be taking place in the city's esports stadium. Standing at an impressive 100,000 sqft., Esports Stadium Arlington is North America's largest dedicated esports arena. The facility also sees weekly events taking place including Rocket League tournaments.

As of yet, there are no specific games confirmed for Kumite in Texas. However, if we are to take into consideration some of the titles that were played over the last few days at Kumite in Tennessee, it would be reasonable to assume that we'll see heavy hitters such as Tekken 7, Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, SoulCalibur VI, and Dragon Ball FighterZ on the bill. The recently announced Mortal Kombat 11 is also a possible addition, as the event takes place after the game's launch.

Kumite in Texas runs from September 13 to September 15, 2019. You can get a taste of things to come via the video below which features some of the Tekken 7 highlights from the Tennessee event.
