With L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files' release date less than 24 hours away, developer Rockstar Games has unveiled the PC requirements for the upcoming virtual reality game.

Unlike its non-VR counterpart, the minimum specifications to run the game are demanding with a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 as the minimum GPU requirements. According to its Steam page, due to current performance issues with AMD hardware, only specific combinations of AMD and NVIDIA/Intel Hardware (AMD Ryzen 7 CPU, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 or AMD Vega 56 graphics card, an Intel i7 6700 or above) will allow the game to play as it was originally intended while those with strictly AMD hardware will be unable to run the game. Fortunately, the developer has confirmed that the system requirements will be revised over time.

L.A. Noire The VR Case Files will present seven of the original, self-contained cases from the original game, all of which have been explicitly rebuilt for virtual reality. Several changes made to this rendition of the game include modifications to the combat system and switching the game to a first-person perspective. On top of that, the title will also be Rockstar’s first virtual-reality game it has developed.

For more information on the game, you can check out a batch of screenshots, and while you patiently wait for my review on the game, you can check out my thoughts on L.A. Noire's Nintendo Switch port, which was released last month alongside the PS4 and Xbox One versions.
