Earlier this year, PS4 and Nintendo Switch remakes of Langrisser I & II released in Japan. In July, we learned that Chara-ani Corporation was bringing the remake package westward in 2020 with the help of NIS America. Today, the publisher not only released a new trailer comparing the original graphics to the remade ones but confirmed that Langrisser I & II will come out for PC, PS4 and Nintendo Switch in March 2020.

North American players will be getting the game first on March 10, just one week after the launch of Final Fantasy VII Remake. Europe is getting the game on March 13, the same day as Nioh 2, while Langrisser I & II will release in Australia and New Zealand on March 20 alongside Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Doom Eternal. While the fact that Langrisser I & II is coming out in such a crowded month may impact its success, die-hard fans of the series in the west are probably just happy to have it nonetheless.

For those of you who have not heard of this remake, it remakes the first games in the cult classic tactical RPG series that came out for Sega Genesis in 1991 and 1994. Langrisser I & II features some new gameplay and story elements, updated art, new music and the ability to toggle between the classic and remastered look of the game.

Langrisser I & II will cost $49.99 when it comes out in North America for PC, PS4 and Nintendo Switch on March 10, 2020. The game can already be pre-ordered on Amazon.
