During a panel at PlayStation Experience in Anaheim, presented by Sony Interactive Entertainment, The Last of Us: Part II Creative Director Neil Druckmann shared some interesting details.

According to Druckmann, there was a big discussion between Naughty Dog and Sony on where to announce the new game. Some at Sony wanted to wait for E3, since E3 is bigger. Yet in the end the folks at Naughty Dog are "such fans" of PlayStation Experience and care about being there with the fans, that "there was no other option."

Druckmann also added that Ellie plays differently from Joel, an some things are evolutions from the first game, some things are reinventions, but there will be a gameplay reveal down the road that will show that.

We also hear that there will different moments compared to the first game, and Druckmann hopes that they will resonate with gamers as much as those in the first The Last of Us.  Naughty Dog has an idea on when the game should be ready, but they won't announce it for a while.
