Naughty Dog's The Last of Us Part II may still not have a release date in sight, but the developer is still hoping to get fans of the first game excited with some promotions. Celebrating September 26 as Outbreak Day, which in-universe is the date where the outbreak that devastated the world took place (an odd thing to celebrate), the studio will release new items and other promotions for their fans.

Much of the content that Naughty Dog will unveil is currently being kept under wraps, leading me to guess that some new information about The Last of Us Part II may come out of this. As described on the game's official website, this content will include PS4 avatars and themes, the theme song for the game, wallpapers for your devices, and more yet to be revealed.

In previous years, promotional materials such as t-shirts, posters, and statues were released. Hopefully, whatever this Outbreak Day has in store for fans will reveal more about the game's characters and gameplay.
