Square Enix showcased their latest JRPG remaster, The Last Remnant Remastered, at Tokyo Game Show 2018, showing first live gameplay.

The game's story and game system were quickly explained for those who didn't play the original, before moving on to live gameplay. We got to see town exploration and a few battles.

Directed by SaGa JRPG series veteran Hiroshi Takai, The Last Remnant is pretty much a SaGa game in everything but name, with a weird battle system and obscure conditions to unlock new skills. This is definitely not a game for everyone, but I personally loved it.

You can watch the gameplay below (starting at 23:00). After the PC version of the game was suddenly delisted from Steam, The Last Remnant Remastered was revealed with its first trailer a few days ago. You can also check out a video comparing the remaster's graphics with the Xbox 360 original version.

The Last Remnant Remastered will launch worldwide exclusively for PS4 on December 6th.
