Latest Macross 30 Trailer Features Generational Relationships

Namco Bandai released a new trailer of the upcoming Macross 30, that will hit the Japanese shelves on February the 28th for the PS3.

The video is definitely funny, and a treat for fans of the series for a single and rather unique reason: the game bunches several generations of Macross characters together, including those that are related to each other in rather direct ways. Seeing Sheryl address the youthful Mao Nome (she’s 11 years old when she appears in her OAV series, and she hasn’t aged one bit in Macross 30) as “grandma” is absolutely hilarious, and I’m quite looking forward to see how Ozma Lee will deal with Nekki Basara and Mylene Genius, since he’s an almost fanatical fan of the Fire Bomber band.

You can check the trailer out below and join me in some serious giggling. In Japanese of course, as it’s unfortunately very unlikely for this game to ever see an English release.
