Gears of War creator Cliff Bleszinski and his studio Boss Key Productions' unique first-person shooter, LawBreakers, will be free to play this weekend on PC alongside a substantial discount. The limited time promotion has not been extended to the game's other platform, the PS4.

This is the first promotion of its kind for the "gravity-defying" shooter, which released early last month for PS4 and PC, and isn't a huge shock seeming the game has struggled to garner a sizable playerbase, despite critical acclaim.

The free weekend will run from September 28 until October 2, while the discount will come in at 25 percent: knocking the game's $29.99 USD price-point down to $22.49.

A new trailer to accompany the promotion has also been released. It essentially just provides a birds-eye-view rundown of the shooter.

LawBreakers is currently only available on PS4 and PC. An Xbox One version of the game has been teased in the past, with Bleszinksi specifically pointing out to not rule out a such a version, however, no such version has been confirmed or announced at the moment of writing this.

In other related news, Bleszinski recent provided an honest interview where he talks about some of the mistakes made with LawBreakers, but how he is also determined to keep it alive. Bosskey also recently provided the game's 2017 content map, which boasts a new class, new maps, modes, and more.
