Last year saw the release of Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millonaires’ Conspiracy - Deluxe Edition for the Nintendo Switch in Japan. And thanks to a newly revealed ESRB rating, spotted by Twitter user Stealth, it looks like North America will be getting the Deluxe Edition as well:

Hopefully Nintendo America will have a release date or window ready for this title soon. Much like its predecessors, Layton’s Mystery Journey is a fun and charming puzzle game with gorgeous animated sequences and an intriguing plot. Our own DualShockers review also gave the game a favorable score.

Layton’s Mystery Journey was first released for 3DS back in 2017. Players play as Katrielle Layton who sets forth into London to take on the mysteries and adventures that await. Headstrong to make a name for herself and not only bank off her family’s name, Katrielle must discover clues and interrogate suspicious civilians in order to solve the case.

The story focuses less on dynamic problem-solving and more on solving multiple mystery cases observed in the everyday lives of Londoners, which will bring a faster tempo and more comical tone to the series. The gameplay uses comical elements and new methods to approach situations. This allows Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires' Conspiracy to stand out when compared to other titles in the Layton franchise.
