Leading News Agency Publishes News on PS4’s Launch, Uses Xbox One Picture

A few hours ago ANSA, the biggest Italian news agency and one of the leading worldwide wire services, published the news on the launch of the PS4. Normally there wouldn’t be anything strange about that, despite the fact that they’re dreadfully late, but if you check the actual post, titled Here’s the PlayStation 4, the start of a new era you’re in for a laugh.

Apparently the journalist that compiled said post (of which you can see a screencap at the bottom of the post, in the case it gets changed, as it’s too funny not to immortalize) doesn’t really know much about consoles, and used the picture of an Xbox One instead of an actual shot of Sony’s upcoming console.

It’s also rather hilarious to see the word us Italians would use for a standard remote control “telecomando”, used to describe the controller (In Italy people that actually know what they’re talking about just call it “Controller” in English, or the more colloquial “Joypad”), but I guess it isn’t as funny if you don’t speak Italian.

That said, looks like parts of the mainstream media don’t have a very clear idea of the differences between a PS4 and an Xbox One, and I don’t mean what’s under the hood…
