In celebration of the upcoming League of Legends: Wild Rift, executive producer Michael "Riot Paladin" Chow has released a brand new developer's diary (from home). The video delves into some new announcements including some exciting news: a limited Android alpha test for players in Brazil and the Philippines. The purpose of this alpha is to gain some much needed feedback from the community.

The dev diary also debuted brand new gameplay footage from Wild Rift and details updates for Champions, a gameplay overview, and a skins overview. You can check out the full video below:

The official summary of the game: "Coming in 2020, League of Legends: Wild Rift brings the fast-paced PVP action-strategy of the LoL PC game to mobile and console! Featuring the same skill-based 5v5 PVP gameplay you expect from League of Legends on PC, Wild Rift was built from the ground up for new platforms. Lock your choice from a huge cast of League champions, team up with friends, and outplay the opposition."

The last time we had any news about League of Legends: Wild Rift was earlier this year in March when Riot released a new video detailing the latest progress with development. At the time, a potential release window for the platform had yet to be given, with the team lead for Wild Rift saying that the game needed a bit more time. Much like with Riot Valorant announcement last week via Summer Game Fest, perhaps further details on the release window for Wild Rift will be detailed soon as well.

There’s also a good chance that we'll hear more specifics about platforms that the game will be coming to. Riot as of now has only confirmed iOS and Android devices for League of Legends: Wild Rift, but the title is coming to consoles, too.
