Riot Games seems to have a long-term plan with the game and has consistently released new updates for the game. League of Legends Wild Rift Patch 2.6 Delay Fear Looms As China Suspends Tencent's Updates

Recently, a report was published which suggested that Tencent might be facing some difficulties in updating their apps and launching new apps in the near future. The reason for that is that China has suspended the tech giant from doing the same, owing to "temporary administrative guidance".

This comes amidst increasing scrutiny for various companies operating in China, in the technology sector. The Data Security Law also came into effect recently, imposing even stringent laws on data protection and privacy.

This has got many fans worried whether the Wild Rift patch will be delayed as well, which is one of the most anticipated updates for the game. Well, if you are one of them, then you will be glad to hear that these rules only apply to China, so Tecent's operations outside of China will not be affected in any way at all. That being said, if other countries start investigating Tencent's apps and impose restrictions after China's decision is something that remains to be seen. Countries like India had already banned PUBG Mobile in the past, so this latest development might stir up something again.
