Leaked Concept Art From a Cancelled Game - Star Wars: Battlefront Online

You may remember hearing rumors about it a while back, an adaptation of the Star Wars: Battlefront series for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 by Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City developer Slant Six. Sadly the game was cancelled for some reason by LucasArts, but the project did leave behind some fairly impressive concept art that shows what might have been. While the game was cancelled some time ago, it’s only recently that these images have been leaked from the studio.

The Battlefront series has been mired in lost titles, including Star Wars: Battlefront 3, which was lost in a tangled mess of studio changes and contradicting announcements. While it’s probably safe to say that the days of Star Wars themed Battlefield 1942 knockoffs are over, these images do offer a chance to look back on what might have been, and on the fun that was had in the original two Battlefront games, and more specifically, the crazy Hoth level that the screenshots depict and that existed in the earlier titles.
