The creative folks at Media Molecule have now shown us how players of Tearaway Unfolded on PlayStation 4 won't miss out on the customizable tools that were used in the PlayStation Vita version. Due to a lack of a touch screen or camera on the Dualshock 4, certain features can now be used on the new Tearaway Companion App, which is usable inside the official PlayStation App.

The Companion App can be used to customize the world using hand drawn art or pictures taken with the tablet. You can also use the app to accomplish side challenges, such as posting a picture of an edited eye or face onto the paper creations in-game. You can not only customize the world but also your messenger, and see what other players have created online.

Not only can you do this with the Companion App but also using the "Second-Screen" function of the PlayStation Vita. The PlayStation App is available for free on Android and iOS, and Tearaway Unfolded will release on September 8 in the US, September 9 in Europe, and September 11 in the United Kingdom.
