Learn Something About Yourself With Doki-Doki Universe

If i had to explain Doki-Doki Universe in one sentence…well I wouldn’t be able to. Coming from the creator of Toejam and Earl, Greg Johnson and HumaNature Studios want Doki-Doki Universe to be a mash-up of genres and ideas, including RPG elements, adventure elements, and a variety of personality quizzes and comedy, all stuffed into one game that’s meant to be as fun to play as it is informative of who you are as a person.

The newly released trailer below shows off what the game is in a nutshell, introducing a robot named QT3 who must prove his humanity before getting scrapped so it can go and find its family. To do this, it will travel all around the universe, meeting new characters and aiding them in their lives, all the while being judged by an alien named Alien Jeff for emotion and character.

There are many, many ideas being played around with in Doki-Doki Universe, so much that I’d strongly recommend you check out my last post to get a better idea of the game and all that Johnson hopes to offer with it. Doki-Doki Universe will be coming to nearly all of Sony’s devices, including the PS4, PS3, PS Vita and PS Mobile (which probably includes the PSP by proxy), and is set to release sometime in December.

Masoud House

Born and raised in video games and "geek culture," Masoud has been bred off of fantasy worlds his entire life and doesn't see anything wrong with that. He loves RPGs (especially TRPGs), sandbox games, the sci-fi genre, dieselpunk, art deco, and anything that allows him to create. Having graduated from John Jay College with a degree in English and a minor in Creative Writing, Masoud hopes to one day pen the same novels, comics, movies, and video games he enjoys escaping into when the real world gets too boring.
