Learning The Six T’s Of The Bureau: XCOM Declassified May Be Your Only Means At Surviving The Alien Apocalypse

You may know the five D’s of Dogeball, but 2K Marin want to make sure you know the six T’s of surviving the XCOM alien apocalypse:

Team, Tactics, Technology, Tools, Terror, and Tension.

As narrated by The Bureau: XCOM Declassified‘s creative director Morgan Gray, the above T’s are what the studio kept in mind when building the game, and what gamers should keep in mind when playing the world of Declassified.

Of course, players need a team to tackle the enemies they’ll encounter in the game, and only through tactics will the team outsmart enemies that are vastly superior to them when it comes to power. Technology will help players learn to overcome the invaders with their own power, while using each agent’s tools and abilities to survive missions. But, most important to any XCOM game is the terror and tension players will face during danger, when agents can die–for good–at any minute, and only through overcoming this fear can they hope to overcome the obstacles thrown their way.

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified is set to release next week on August 20th to PS3, Xbox 360, and PC: hopefully we can unlock Patches O’Houlihan as a special agent. For more details on the game, check out all of our XCOM news coverage.
