Today Nihon Falcom officially revealed the previously teased The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel PS4 remaster.

The remaster will be titled The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel I: Kai - Thors Military Academy 1204. It will release in Japan on March 8th, 2018 exclusively for PS4, and it will cost an affordable 3,500 yen plus taxes.

The game will get a few upgrades, including 4K support on PS4 Pro, 60 frames-per-second, improved sound quality and a new "fast skip mode" that allows you to play at double or quadruple speed at the press of a button.

In addition to that, the game support cross-save with the PS3 and PS Vita versions. On top of that, loading a save game from the recently-released The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III will let players unlock bonus costumes.

Those who will purchase the first print of the game will also receive a special alternate box sleeve featuring an alternate illustration of Class VII.

Incidentally, we also get the confirmation that the original editions of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel and The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II passed a million copies shipped worldwide combined.
