Back in February, THQ Nordic revealed that they would be bringing Legend of Kay: Anniversary Edition to Nintendo Switch sometime this year. Today, the gave an exact date, stating that they game would be hitting the console/handheld hybrid on May 29.

For those of you who don't know, Legend of Kay initially released on PS2 in 2005, and follows the story of the titular hero who is trying to save his island from evil gorillas and rats. Overall, the game will include 25 different levels and will have players switching between swords, hammers, and claws to change up their combat style.

When it comes to Legend of Kay: Anniversary Edition, the game has been updated with higher-resolution and more detailed textures and models, which when working with surround sound support and better rendering techniques craft a better sounding and looking game.

You can check out the announcement trailer for the Nintendo Switch version of the game below. Legend of Kay is currently available on nine platforms, with the Anniversary Edition being available on PC, PS3, PS4, Wii U, and Xbox 360. Meanwhile, the Nintendo Switch version will be releasing on May 29.
