Legendary Franchise Battletech Returns With New Game from Shadowrun Returns Developer

Today Shadowrun Returns developer Harebrained Schemes announced that it’s bringing back the legendary mech-driven Battletech franchise with a brand new game for PC.

The game will include tactical turn-based mech combat, featuring “an open-ended Mercenaries-style campaign that blends RPG Mech and MechWarrior management with modern turn-based tactics.”

The project is led by Battletech‘s own creator Jordan Weisman, and will head to Kickstarter this fall. A teaser website is available, alongside a couple of pieces of concept artwork, which you can see below.
