Warner Bros. and LEGO took aim at Minecraft today with the announcement of their new open world sandbox game, LEGO Worlds.

Simultaneously launched on Steam Early Access, the game gives you a procedurally generated world (made of LEGO of course) which you can then alter however you see fit.

Developed by TT Games, Worlds lets you alter your worlds using pre-made structures, landscaping tools, or even by using an individual brick by brick building tool.

Worlds also includes an “expansive range of items, characters and creatures to populate your worlds” which includes everything from bears to dragons.

The game will be launching with a select number of commercially available sets that can be unlocked in-game, with more planned to be added in the future.

LEGO Worlds has already jumped to the top of Early Access’ top sellers list, and is available for $14.99.

To go along with the launch TT Games also released the trailer you can see below.

I'm a 20 year old aspiring games journalist. I've been told by people that I am “funny” and I like to talk at people at length about things I’m exited or passionate about. Surprisingly many people do not like to be told at length about many of these things so I've taken to you, the internet, to talk at, should you desire to listen.
