LEGO Mario Powers Up With Brand New Suits on August 1
LEGO Mario's new collection of suits includes Fire Mario, Propeller Mario, Cat Mario, and Builder Mario. Giving you plenty of customization options.
If you’re talking about timeless toys for kids, there aren’t many that are more popular than LEGO and Mario. Which is why it made perfect sense when the two announced they were teaming up for a brand new LEGO Mario project. So far, we’ve mostly just seen the starter set; however, today LEGO and Nintendo announced they’ll be giving fans a way to power up their Mario with new suits. Check the four suits out below.
Upgrade LEGO Mario’s wardrobe for #LEGOSuperMario and unlock all new ways to play with the new Power-Up Packs! Customize Mario with the Fire Mario suit, Propeller Mario suit, Cat Mario suit, and the Builder Mario suit!

As you can see, the new Mario suits give fans a way to spice up their Mario. And the change isn’t just cosmetic. The LEGO Mario set is interactive and these new suits switch up those interactions a bit. For example, Builder Mario crashes down on structures, earning coins in the process. And, as expected, Cat Mario purrs like the feline he is.
Unfortunately, fans will have to wait a little while to pick these new suits up. The Starter Course is available for preorder on LEGO’s site, and these new suits will launch alongside it on August 1. With the team at LEGO promising “levels as endless as kids’ creativity”, I would be very surprised if we don’t see further announcements from the team. There are other sets announced, we just don’t have a release date for them yet. You’d assume they’d come the same day, but that has yet to be confirmed. Either way, with how hard LEGO has gone with properties like Star Wars and Batman, it won’t be long before store shelves are filled with Mario LEGOs.
Again, the LEGO Mario Starter Course releases on August 1. It’s currently available for preorder on the LEGO site. These suits will launch on the same day, giving fans a chance to power up their Mario with fun, new interactions.
