Following the unveiling of the game's key art and variety of new details earlier this week, it seems as though LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga now has an official release date, too.

Announced rather unceremoniously in the latest edition of This Week in Star Wars over on YouTube, it was passively mentioned that LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is set to release later this fall on October 20, 2020. This is the first such instance that a release date for the title has been given and it's a bit strange that Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment or TT Games haven't confirmed as much themselves just yet. Still, given that this information is coming from an official channel associated with Star Wars, it seems likely to be legitimate.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was first revealed last year during E3 2019. Set to be a wholly new leap forward for the LEGO video game series, The Skywalker Saga contains all nine, mainline entries from the Star Wars film franchise recreated in LEGO form. And despite the fact that seven of these movies have already been given the LEGO treatment in the past, the way in which TT Games is going about them here in The Skywalker Saga is wildly different than what we've seen before.

We'll likely hear and see more of The Skywalker Saga in the coming weeks, especially now that this release date has come about, so stay tuned. The game is slated to launch on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC when it arrives in October.
