The first full update for LEGO Worlds launched today, and is available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC for free. It includes a new Sandbox mode as well as a couple of new features with new themes announced for the near future.

The Sandbox mode basically skips all of the game's tutorials and opens up the full list of items at your disposal right away.  Even though the items will all be unlocked in Sandbox mode, some rare creatures will only be accessible once they have been unlocked through Adventure mode. In addition to the Sandbox mode, the game's UI has also received an overhaul.

The main screen has been reworked, and prompts have been removed in order to provide a cleaner look. Nexo Knights and LEGO City Emergency themes were promised to come soon and will be making their way to the Brick Build Showcase on release. More themes were also promised to come in the future, but they have not been named at the moment.

The trailer below does a good job detailing some of the new Sandbox mode features, which are available now on all platforms. Be sure to check out the video below for a brief tutorial before jumping into the game.
