Semisoft relaunched the Kickstarter for their fantasy RPG Legrand Legacy, coming to PC after successful crowdfunding.

After the first campaign failed to meet the goal of £85,000, reaching only £65,000, the developer made backer improvements and returned to the drawing board. Now, the team has relaunched the campaign with a goal of £40,000 as well as updated and rebalanced the game's Pre-alpha prologue.

Currently the game sits at £20,000 with 28 days to go, there are multiple tiers for backers to choose from with $18 getting a Steam and DRM free version of the game.

The developer informs fans on how they were able to lower the previous goal:

During the holidays we were approached by a group who sees the potential in Legrand Legacy, and we have secured a deal with them to cover part of the development costs for Legrand Legacy as long as we can secure the rest with a new Kickstarter campaign! This will allows us to lower the funding goal for Legrand Legacy to £40,000 for this second go.

Additionally, the team has a unique set of social media goals that add various in game items and elements when milestones are reaching. This stretch across, Twitter followers, Facebook likes, and Kickstarter backers.

The story premise from the developer:

Mugna Feud, the great war between the Kingdoms of Fandor and Altea, puts Legrand in a chaotic state. You play as Finn, a young slave who wakes up without any memory of his past, yet soon discovers that he possesses mysterious powers beyond his control.
