A massive patch was released for Elden Ring a few days ago which made a plethora of changes to the game and raised some eyebrows. Two of the most notable changes were the nerf to Swarm of Flies, one of the best utilities in the game to inflict blood damage. This was the easiest way to take down Malenia, as it dealt tons of damage to her without requiring the players to be in close proximity to her. With Swarm of Flies nerfed, the players thought that they would try and figure out an easier way to take down Malenia until they realized that they are going against an even stronger than before Malenia.

Let Me Solo Her Calls Malenia "Nightmare" After Update, Still Solos Her

This update made Malenia even stronger, with the most important change being her healing mechanic becoming even more powerful. Earlier, Malenia used to heal with every successful hit on the player, but after the update, the boss seemingly started healing based on iframes instead, which means that if players were close enough to the attack when it landed, she'd still heal despite it not hitting them at all.

The entire community was frustrated by this change, and many players have termed it almost impossible to beat Malenia after the latest change. The Elden Ring hero, Let Me Solo Her who has been helping hundreds of people beat Malenia alone also

" rel="nofollow"> termed Malenia as "a nightmare to fight" in their recent videos. However, they still manage to take down her solo, although the time to defeat them has gone significantly upwards.

While LMSH could defeat Malenia in less than 10 minutes earlier, it took them 15 minutes to defeat her after the patch. From Software should be definitely aware of this issue, and we can expect a patch pretty soon. But for those who are looking for a challenge, the bugged Malenia could still be a very fun change.
