While the tradition of the “booth babes” has generally become shunned in the west, it’s still going strong in Asia. Especially at Tokyo Game Show, where they’re called “Booth Companions,” they’re one of the main attractions and a respected and cherished tradition, with armies of photographers throwing themselves camera-first into chaotic, sweaty crowds in order to get the best shots.
When in Rome, here at DualShockers we like to do as the Romans do, besides, we certainly are quite fond of those whimsical Japanese Romans. Which is why today I packed my Nikon, I put on my most comfortable shoes (which were of little help, anyway), and braved the crowds to bring some bounty home.
You can see the results in the gallery below, including a couple of “booth dudes” for those who appreciate.
Incidentally, a special shoutout goes to the booth companions at Sony’s booth. If we had an award for the category, they’d win it: classy, beautiful, knowledgeable about the games they were presenting, and all speaking very good English.
But without further ado, you can check out all the pictures below.
