Japanese developer and publisher Level-5 announced on their official Professor Layton Twitter account that they would be making an appearance at Anime Expo next month. The tweet simply states: "Stay tuned for more details!" This marks the first time the company has ever attended the massive North American event:

It's interesting to note that since Level-5 specifically tweeted this through the Professor Layton account, there will be at least one announcement related to the franchise. Of course from the picture that accompanies the status update, we can also see outlines for characters from the Inazumi Eleven and Yokai Watch series. Which of course means we can surmise that those franchises will be most likely mentioned as well.

Hopefully we can also get some more news about their horror RPG Ushiro, which was originally planned for PSP, scrapped, and then revived for Nintendo Switch.

Recently both Yo-kai Watch 4 and Inazuma Eleven Ares were delayed in Japan several times due to quality issues, with the former set for a June 20th release. The latter does not have an official release date at this time, but Level-5 President Akihiro Hino did explain why the title has been so extensively delayed in the first place.

Anime Expo is an American anime convention held in Los Angeles, California and organized by the non-profit Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation. The convention features many events and activities during the convention for attendees to take part in such as guest panels, table top gaming, competitions, an arcade, and concerts.
